I'll second Phanny's recommendation, chances are I'm going with them for my next bike! Very Happy

Shop around though. I got £169 TPO for a 50cc ped.

There is no "cheap insurance company". Each quote is tailored to you specifically.

As mrchips has said there is no cheap insurance company, what may be cheaper for others will be more expensive for you!

The only thing to do is to ring around as many insurance companies/brokers and get a quote of them, get the lowest three and see if you can play them off against each other a little bit.

Do be prepared to spend half a day or so doing this, but it helps a lot. I've got two bikes covered for £242.84 (Honda CB-1 and a R6).

It took me a day of ringing around to get it to that price, initially I was being quoted for around 600 odd for the two.

Lexham insurance are the best I found. I got TPFAT on my '03 NSR 125, Im 17, never ridden before, just with a CBT it was £478. Dunno what it would be for you, but tis good.

I've been trying to get quotes for a zxr for when i'm 17 and a few places i've tried say "sorry the largest capacity motorcycle you can be insured on is 250cc." But they say this at the end of the quote after i've filled in all the info! Really annoys me.
Anyway...
MCE quoted me £320 for my 50cc XR6
