125 Alarm question

Hi I bought an alarm off ebay it has all mod cons:

My m8 reckons its not worth putting on because of a) the hassle and b) it will only wear down my battery and 3) he can walk off with my bike under his arm lol.

What do you boys think - be a shame to waste over £40 on something in my eyes considering I am skint. However I don't feel I can do the job on my own. I do have the wiring diagram for both the alarm and the bike but dont know what to do and whether my regulator?? can hold it.

My bike is a Cagiva Supercity. Hope you can help.

I'd say Your mate is probably right about it draining Your battery .

If You think Your bikes going to get nicked , just get a good disc lock and a chain and chain it to something sturdy.

bolt cutters easy get through chains though nice one though m8. Will keep the alarm then for when I get a beast lol.

Surely any alarm is better then nothing .Wouldnt you prefer to know that if some one is pissing about with your bike you would hear the alarm .Imo better then wakeing up one day to find your bike gone an you didnt even know .Worst of all to wake up find its gone then think about the alarm you got sitting in the draw .

Is it not possible to have another battery under your seat for the alarm ?. You got a nice bike one i wouldnt want stolen tbh .

Every kind of chain is cuttable in some way if some one wants your bike bad enough there have it.

Unless your willing to spend a fair amount on chain like oxford monster which cost a fortune then disklock.

How about putting it on an giving it a try if you think its easy enough spose thats the only way you will know if the battery can take it if it doesnt then remove it simple.

If all fails i mite be interested in buying it off you in couple weeks if you want .

I have NS125R with heated grips alarm immobiliser an the old owner has said its never caused any probs

If only I knew how and where to chop and reconnect wires I would probably give it a go. There are a fair few parts to this thing lol. It even has remote start. Wiring definitely looks mad
