I've been going through my DivX films on CD and there seems to be a few problems with most fo them. Either there is no sound at all, or after about 10 minutes the audio becomes garbled. The only solution is to stop the film and start again, but if you skip to the last scene, the audio isn't synched. It doesn't matter if they are copied to the hard drive or run straight from CD.
The only way I have got the ones with no sound to work is to re-encode them in VirtualDub. It's strange because GSpot tells me I have three or more audio codecs installed that should play the sound.
These are all AVI files I have created myself using VirtualDub from DVDs, and they used to work without problem. I have re-installed my system since then though, they were created before XP SP2 buggered up my system All the codecs I originally had were reinstalled, along with some new ones. I can't figure this one out ____________________ https://www.bikepics.com/members/fuzzbcf/

Download ace mega codecs you can find it on google, it has a hard remove which will remove all of your current codecs and install every single one you could ever need.
Codecs can clash and fuck up which sounds like what is happening with your. |

I was using the Kazaa Mega codec pack!
I've installed the ACE pack, I'll see how the sound goes. It hasn't solved the no sound problem though. I converted one of these AVIs to DVD and the sound works So the audio information is there, but it's not being output. ____________________ https://www.bikepics.com/members/fuzzbcf/

The codec isn't missing. I encoded the audio into the AVI. GSpot reports that I have 4 audio codecs capable of playing the sound ____________________ https://www.bikepics.com/members/fuzzbcf/
