The actually cans don't get that hot, the header pipes do but they are not actually that close to the bodywork so it will unfortunatley be fine.

Yes. It was the first car I bought with my own pay. Had to sell it because a change of job and house meant I didn't have a garage to park it in. If I left it parked on the street, it would have been stolen in a matter of hours.

Thanks. No I live in Warrington. She was an absolute beauty! Turned heads everywhere. When she went for service, the mechanics had to cover her up, because people on the street would flock in to have a look. I've got to start saving up for another one.

It depends what engine you put in it. Mine had a 3.7 V8. I never really pushed it beyond 130 mph. The most popular engines are the 5.7 chevy V8's, but insurance would be probihitive for me. To be honest, I really couldn't afford keeping it for life at my salary. It was my childhood dream to own one, so I indulged myself. Someday I'll have one to keep for the rest of my life.
