For those of you who dont remember, my car was hit by a 4x4 two novembers ago!

Well after two adjournments it went to court today and they found him guilty of:

Failing to stop at an accident

Failing to give details

Failing to report an accident

and i believe something like not phoning the police as i was injured from it!

He tried to get out of it, by claiming he was dyslexic and couldnt read road signs. As he couldnt read road signs he'd never gone home via the A128!!!!

Oh and it was brand new car Ford pickup he hit me with, that he'd only had two hours! Oh and he also claimed he was at canary wharf at the time as well.

Luckily the prosecution lass was switched on and ripped his soliciter to bits, and also made the bloke lose his temper Smile

He got:

100 pound fine
200 pound costs
5 points

Plus i can report him to my insurance compancy now to do him for damages! Smile

Finally some justice!!

Nice to get some come back eh mate? I dont think 100 quid is an apt fine for hit and run (be it a car or person) and Im sure 2 years messing around is worth far more than 200 quid costs.

Considering he was driving a brand new car, the excess on your insurance would have cost more. He deserves either a ban or hefty fine.

He got off lightly for doing the wrong thing.

This country is on its arse justice wise. Let your insurers take him for every penny.

Yeah i had an accident a year and a bit ago, caused damage totalling less then my excess and the driver left the scene, just to let you know the police have caught him! And the court found him guilty...please rape him Smile

5 points is a hefty hit for him to take at least, he won't be doing that again in a hurry! His insurance will skyrocket as well.

Glad to hear it all worked out!

You are wrong, the country is not on it's arse justice wise.

Is is on it's arse totally. Thumbs Up

The level of taxation is criminal, we get far too little back for it, the justice system seems to constantly fail to give out justice, the NHS can't afford to treat people as the government spend it all on cars, planes and stationary, (not to forget subsidised bars), should I continue.

One day, someone will take power and kick the country firmly up the backside and sort the mess out. I wouldn't hold your breath though.
