Thanks to me knowing F all german l brough an endless chain insted of a split link one, have to drop the swingarm to fit this one.


also l,ve got a 47T on the rear going on up from 46. Twisted Evil


can,t really moan when l got a DID gold X-ring chain and sproket kit for £86 when there £150+ here.

the last time l did that it seroiusly weaken the chain which casued it to snap after 50 miles on my VFR400. plus l no longer have the tool for it

Then you either didn't use the correct tool or you tried to re-use the link you had just split.

If you are that worried you should be able to get a brand new split link for whatever chain you have ordered - should only cost a couple of quid. Split the chain and use a new link.

Id rather do that than fuck about with the swingarm.

Dropping the swingarm out isn't as hard as you think it might be.

And yes, it gives you a chance to grease everything up. I did in on my TZR 250, although that's on a smaller scale. Only took about 45mins including all greasing etc.
