does anyone know what is suppose to be attached to the brass like nipple end. next to the main jet bolt on the very bottom of the carb, I have two pipes with no where to go are they breather pipes? does one go onto the brass nipple like end if so which one the thick one or the thinner one next to the fuel strainer.

(i'm 99% sure) its a drain pipe, when you turn the screw nearest to it you can empty the float bowls (say for laying up the bike e.t.c.) so you need some fuel pipe (8mm-inner?) that reaches down to the flloor so your not geting petrol over your lovely paintwork Shocked

it is the drain pipe. not important to have a pipe oon it really.

ahhhhhh so the two pipes that are spare on the carb are breather pipes... and the other two are fuel and oil...

no need to have pipes on them. just not a great idea to drain te carb when the engine is hot.

yeah I know some petrol already came out of the brass end when I had the carb on it's side, but it was only a dribble..BOOM
