I might be up for some of that with my road bike.

I've only ever done 1.9 complete laps of Cadwell, in the fog and wet and 4.3 laps of the half (woodland) circuit in the rain, ending at a tyre wall in the mud! Crying or Very sad

I'm now sh't scared of the place and would love to try and get it right without fast guys passing me up the inside everywhere!

Don't worry, I won't be going all that fast! Not on the road bike, too pricey! got to ride it home as well! lol

Don't worry about my previos race experiance, no ACU Licence this year (can't afford racing) and I kinda lost the nerve to go too fast now days! Crying or Very sad

Hey, if any of you need som ecrash bungs or other such track day related stuff, why not try looking here: Moto-Racing.co.uk!

Shameless plug I know, but some good stuff non-the-less! Not my business by the way, just a dam good company!

Hope to meet som eof you lot there!

No one scared, slow and nervous when over took? Aha, so it's a fast group day in disguise? Laughing

Don't worry, I might be fast at other circuits, but I'm sh'te scared of Cadwell, will be on my road bike (including commuting to and from the event) and will have standard tyres, suspension, etc.

I'm not going to be pushing it anywhere and most of you guys will probably overtake me.

I'm also mainly going to assist my lady friend, as it will be her first time out on track, therefore I'm going to be mostly leading her round all day at a very reduced pace!

This also leads to a very important question:

Her bike is a CBR600FM, restricted to 33BHP, due to her only having the 33BHP road licence. She will be 30 years old at the time of the track day and she has been riding for several years on lower capacity geared bikes. Will this event still cater for her, or is the power going to be an issue? Any one know for sure?

Just another quick thought............is there a noise restriction? I got race cans on the back which kickout one hell of a noise and I know some track day organisers will only allow lower noise levels! I'll look into it!

As far as I know motorsport vision don't allow 33bhp on any of their tracks now, as for noise levels it's never been restricted noise levels when I've been to Cadwell and never heard of it being restricted either.

Thanks for that.

I did 1 day last year at cadwell but am considering this.
Other riders coming past me at warp 6 didn't really bother me that much but it seems this session may be better for learing how to track ride.

Maybe i'll see you there.

The MSV website (click) says the noise limit is 105dB - hope this helps Smile

Anyhow, seen as you have to have a Full UK license and my other half is on the restricted, then I guess we won't be going. Crying or Very sad

From the MSV website-

Quote:
All participants must hold a full UK motor cycle licence or non – UK equivalent appropriate to the type of machine they intend to use on the circuit,
