Wireless Usb Hubs..............can't wait to get one of these..... might actually get some space on my desk with my printer and other usb devices on the other side of the room.

You'll have to plug them in.

Is it just me, or have people already got about 13 things plugged into the mains around their PC's - yep another massive transformer plug to plug into a daisy chain of extension leads!

And if its anything like other Belkin kit it won't work with other brands.

it will work with everything.... all it does is transmits data..... it doesn't question what peripheral device is sending information ..... Rolling Eyes

true.......another plug, but the abilty to move closer to double wall sockets... or into another room.............without trailing wires is great.
And with the peripheral device in different places at least the clutter of wires behind my desk will be at least improved and the cluttered look of my desk will be diminished ........ Very Happy


and plus it just another tech- toy to play with really!!!!!

Yes right.

Hmm so why do I have a Belkin Wireless G dongle next to me that can only connect to Belkin products? Why did Comet stop selling the Belkin range? was it possibly because of compatability issues.

I mean on the wireless side by the way.

Setting up a Belkin 802.11g wireless usb dongle to work with a linksys router is probably the easiest networking thing I've ever done Confused

But the thing won't work with my access point or my router, both Linksys. Signal is to weak to acquire even when within a couple of metres and line of site.

The only AP it sees well is my neighbours Belkin.

My belkin router works just fine with lynksys and netgear wifi cards I use.

Never had any problems with my belkin at all.

Cutting down on all the plug's, or atleast the space they take up would be far more important to me than wireless lan's etc.

There's an idea for the next big thing, wireless power supply. Thumbs Up
