looney... ?
He seems very sensible in my opinion... he doesnt make moves when a left bend is coming up, he sizes up gaps first, and he managed to emergency abort a couple of times.
Seemed pretty smooth. ____________________ China traffic/travel bike vid - When I make a sweeping statement, please add the word 'statistically' in to the sentence before you bitch...
From September 2014 to January/February 2015 I will not be using any English, nor reading any. As such, I won't be on here. PM at will, but I won't be checking/posting unless in emergencies. Certainly not for the first couple of months. Please berate me savagely if I break that rule... |

I'm betting he doesn't have any panniers on the side of his bike. |

It certainly takes some confidence to squeeze through traffic at that speed, but I have to agree with Bonny that he wasn't doing anything particularly dangerous or ballsy. If he'd been averaging say 10mph more, then it would be different.
The only thing he did a couple of times that I didn't like the look of was undertaking lorries that had enough space to pull back into the inside lane - They are never going to see you in their mirrors, so I always over/under-take very wide when I think someone has a reason and the space to change lanes.
The fun you can have on dual carriageways is severely limited - When you get a third lane to play with it gets far more interesting. And it is possible to filter like that with a loaded up bike, 'cause I've done it For any fast-filtering junkies interested, I recommend the motorway network around Paris during rush-hour as one of the best places to ride like a hooligan in Europe (though you will do well to keep up with some of the locals). ____________________ Hard livin', hard luck. |

the speedo's in Km/h that means he's frequently hitting over 80kph/50mph, and there are several occasions where he can't see what's around the bend, cos it's hidden by a truck. had a car been changing lanes, he'd have been eating bonnet. Filtering at that speed is a bit silly imho
