Anyone know of where I can find a ZXR750 dyno graph? Specifically looking for a H1 or H2, just so I can compare my ZXR750 to another one, espically to see if it's got any restriction (it's an impot).

Thanks in advance.

most euro imports are restricted to 100bhp... That might tell you something... Smile

Remember kids, bikes aren't like lego. You can't easily take a part from one bike and then fit it to another.

Laguna Motorcycles in Maidstone told of a 150mph restriction with a chip in the clocks. If I get a speedo converter and make it into MPH, I'll be restricted to 150kph. Confused

Rolling Eyes What makes them restrict a 750 from a few years ago to 100bhp, then a few years later start making 150bhp bikes instead?

Must be new management Mr. Green

Hi

Don't think it will be restricted. As that age Japanese market stuff was restricted to 180kmh (112mph). The ZXR750H only just made over 100hp anyway (by a small enough amount to be easily within the margin for error between dynos).

Only one that really was down on power would be Japanese market (77hp for licence reasons) and the Swiss market ones (really pathetic power due to noise and emissions rules).

German stuff might have been restricted to 100hp but that was for insurance reasons (no legal reason, just a very major cutoff point for insurance). France is the only place I can think of that has a legal 100hp limit.

All the best

Keith

The UK ZXR750 J1 was restricted to 100bhp over fears that there was going to be an even greater power restriction put in place by the government. This never materialised so I think that this model ZXR is the only bike to have the 100bhp limit.
It was restricted by using smaller carbs and I believe that B3 ZX9 flatslides will give it a considerable increase in power.

the J was indeed the only restricted model, but restricted isnt really the right description, 'retuned' would be more appropriet as the power was shifted down the revrange. if you compare a standard j with the highlift cam, flatslide equipped k youl see about 40bhp less at 4000rpm on the flatslide bike. fine if you spend your time howling round a race track at 9000+ RPM (which is where itl finally beat the j on power) but for the road, youl be slower.

https://homepage.ntlworld.com/webzxr/zxr750r/

is a very good zxr site, theres some power, and torque curves in the old magazine articles on there, its mainly for the k model, and a bit about the j, dont think theres any H stuff, but it might be usefull?
