Recently had this conversation with a Halfrauds employee.

Me:'I want a 24 inch wiper blade'
Him:'whats it for? I'll have to look in the book'
Me:'it won't be in the book'
Him:'huh'
Me:'it won't be in the book'
Me:'i just need a 24 inch wiper blade'
Him:'whats it for?'
*sigh*
Me:'a Chevrolet Lumina APV'
Him:'thats not in the book'
Me: (sarcasm) 'nah, it must be'
Him:(genuinly surprised) 'no seriously, it isn't in the book'
Me:'just sell me the damn wiper blade'

Seriously these idiots don't seem to have 2 braincells to rub together. We've had similar incidents with Corvettes, Trans Ams and Buicks. All universal parts, but an idiot won't sell it to you until he has explored the very limits of his intelligence and common sense and he has pushed you to within an inch of clocking him one in the mush.

I'm assuming wiper blades are universal and the size is depended on the car.

I don't have a car. Can you tell?

Did you get the blade?

Yup, I had a similar problem with brake pads and wiper blades for my Previa a few years back.
It was a newly released model at the time, so it wasn't in any of the Halfrauds brochures, and also probably didn't help that the two wiper blades were also different lengths. The result was having to buy two pairs of different lengths (but at least my purchase lasted twice as long).

I was in my local Halfords trying to get an oil filter for my bike.
Went to their stack of oil filters but couldn't find the little book that tells you which one fits which bike.
I picked the only BMW one they had and asked one of their staff where/how could I check if it would fit my bike.
I was told they have removed all information that would tell me that, from all of their stores, but they will continue to sell the filters. Rolling Eyes
