North West London Commuters.

HELP!

I have the misfortune of having to drive in and out of central London once or twice a week. Coming in from Hemel Hempstead, working in the City, up to Euston and back out to Hemel.

Either I need a reality check, or I need some advice on routes. 3 hours is way too long to do 44 miles.

So, areas to avoid? Roads to avoid? Tell me your commuting secrets!

Before anyone says take your bike, I’m considering it, but I need a car for carrying up to 40L of water and the rest of the clobber.



to everyone who slipped passed me on the A40 this afternoon.

to the biker who was speeding/broke down at Rickmansworth and caused a whole chunk of the M25 to grind to a halt because of the flashing ploice lights.

Yes, commuting is getting to me.....

get a job nearer home maybe, ride on the pavement and flash pedestrians to get out the way
