Should I complain....

I do a fair few miles in my car so 10,000 miles ago she was serviced. The mechanic (who I know well) pointed out the tracking was miles off on the back wheels cause mega un-even wear.

So I got new rear tyres and the tracking done. Now not one to check if it had actually been done I continued racking up the miles untill another 10,000 mile service was completed today.

AND again the tracking is still out, rear tyres are wearing from the inside out and it was the same mechanic that serviced my car. He also said it doesn't look like the nuts to adjust the tracking had even been touched.

I have the receipt for this original tracking so I'm going to complain. In all fairness I think I should be due a set of rear tyres + tracking but dunno what will happen.

How do I best complain??
I'm not one for causing a fuss but I'm fucked if I'm paying £100+ ever 10k miles for tyres when they should be doing double that!!! Evil or Very Mad

Depends how you've been driving and where. Used to have to have the tracking done on my Mondeo every few thousand miles. The road I drive along to work is in a shit-state and it used to knock hell out of the car.

How did you not notice the handling being all to pot if the tracking is that far out?

The handling feels fine, or well, I should say the handling has always felt like this since I owned it. 20k miles and tracking is still out.

I drive mainly on the motorway and since going back to owning my own car (nearly 4 years co cars) I'm very craeful as to how I drive it. 10k miles mostly m,way shouldn't throw the tracking out that much.

Oh...I should also add that the bolts to adjust the tracking at the rear don't look touched in a pro's opinion so.... Confused

dont think you have a chance in hell of winning this one cc ,tracking can get knocked out minutes after being fixed, also worried that your mechanic can claim to remember what a bolt looked like one year ago? Either a photographic memory or embelishing the truth somewhat

My parents live on a street with those 'pillow' speed bumps.

When I lived there I used to drive my GF's Metro, and I had to do the tracking every two months! Rolling Eyes

It got so bad the steering wheel was off centre by about fifteen degrees! Shocked

Well I don't have meny corners of speed bump to pass on my journey. I had a Focus in which I racked up 54,000 miles in 13 months and the tracking was never adjusted once!

I'll be phoning the fooker today and telling him to except me with the receipt Evil or Very Mad
