How many people on here are female riders? and how old are you?
because i saw a woman the other day riding a bike, must have been mid 20's and obviosuly was a keen rider as she had an R1... enough said.
i also ask this because i think its good to see more women riding, rather than bike always being associated with men.
another reason is my sister wants a bike, but she is the only one in her group of riends that wants one and i just wanted to see how the popualrity of bikes amongst females is going, increasing or decreasing...

There is in increase in the number of women going in for their bike licence. a lot of the time it's because someone they know has got theirs and the whole 'keeping up with the jones's' thing kicks in.
You can usually tell which one's are these as when this is the case, the first spill they have, they pack it all in, sell their bike on ebay and go back to their kitchen! Confused

On the other hand i know some who are more than competant on a bike, even so good as getting their race licence's etc. (no not lesbians! lol) and can outride men any day of the week. My hat goes off to these girls! Very Happy Thumbs Up

Me.... I don't want to ride, the O/H was going to pay for my direct access for my christmas present. I said no. Wink

Ha ha I've seen some fairly quick blokes severely embarrassed by birds on bikes, don't assume they can't ride!!! I know a few that race and are pretty handy . . .

The other half rides a VFR400 (well, sometimes... when it's not cold Laughing ). Means I don't have to lug her around and get told off for attempting wheelies... Shifty

So because i dont ride, i don't belong in BCF?
Does that mean i also shouldnt read any biking magazines? or watch biking programmes? or even go to rallies, parties, social events etc?

ok... if we're going to get really technical, i've been sat on bikes for approx 20 yrs. My O/H doesnt dare leave the house on his bike without me, I've been pillion while pissed, pregnant, i'm planning a ride from wales, to england, into france, through belgium and most of the way south through germany.... In one day.
whats your stats?

:EDIT: and now i'm letting this drop ok?

Experienced riders can tell women apart without seeing their faces just by their posture sit differently always close or flush to the tank.

men do not , sometimes they do but they learn to sit far from the tank and grip the tank with their knees.

If they did sit like women and they had to stop real hard real fast it'd be like a kick in the bollocks

I got my licence when I was 43, after a break from biking of over 20 years. I think some men have a problem with female bikers personally, suggesting that, they are lesbians for example. Not only can do have a better riding style. They probably keep there bikes cleaner ( JOKE). Any way here`s the bitch I ride.
