What do you prefer about bikes?

Me, its gotta be cornering ( i only ride a 60bhp 400, so i guess I don't actually know what real acceleration is)

The thrill of being right over, on the edge of the tyres at XXXmph is fantastic!

Cornering for me, anyone can go fast in a strait line, not much skill involved in waking the throttle open.
and i am on a fiddy at the moment so i cant really go that fast Rolling Eyes but i can go round corners pretty dam quick Cool
i get a big buzz from high speed when on the back of my dads bike but i get much much more from beating your mate round some country lanes on the twisties Thumbs Up

Cornering.

Love the way my ZXR goes round corners, feels like it's on rails. Quick enough for me at the moment as well, gonna be using it to gain some experience before I jump on a bigger bike.

The flying Armchair is all about the acceleration.

Though its technically not too much of a slouch in the corners, just its pilot is a bit of a newbie.

Cornering, straightline acceleration speed is nice but to be honest when I go for a ride I go to find the twisties not the straights.

Its ok being able to corner well but when you cant get passed that old codger in his cage doing 56mph and your on a tight road and you cant pass him you will wish you had acceleration.

hence I ride a 600. Thumbs Up

Cornering is more satisfying, but it's also good to pass someone at double the speed they're doing. Laughing

Depends on how much horsepower you have and how big a shot of single stage nitrous your using Mr. Green

I'd say acceleration at the moment... with the dodgy weather I mean.

Coming down the M6 yesterday I was loving having the power to blast past the cars, especially coming out of the 50 limit road-work sections.

Cornering is great but you need good conditions and a good road, acceleration can be enjoyed at any time, even when commuting through town.

I'm still getting my jollies from accelerating away from corners...
but I realise it's probably still because I'm a newbie and not as confident as like to be entering the corner

Acceleration. Mr. Green Mr. Green

Cornering Mr. Green Mr. Green

My bike is a good all-rounder despite the size of it, a good corner far outweighs acceleration (unless its a £200,000 Lambo i've blown away) Wink
