Kundo exhaust fitted.

Finally came today.

Fitting was fairly easy, the springs were a bastard, got a few cuts from trying to hook them on but other than that it was fine.

Results;

Powerband is more powerful, but below 5k its a little more useless than before.

sounds nice, idle is fairly deep, when you rev it screams, then pops and gargles when you let off the throttle. Carbs may need a little playing with, but it runs fine, idles fine, goes well.

Doesn't look half bad either, not bad for £90

not bad there cheap exhausts but are good value for money the kundo shocks arent bad either (£80) what other mods you got on your bike

Its actually a fairly well made pipe, the finish is on a budget but it works well Thumbs Up

Got it from ebay.

I plan to get a kundo bore kit (the exhaust is designed for it).

2 of my mates both got kundo exhausts for their scooters.

On one of them the black bit on the silencer started rattling and spinning around until the can eventually fell off.

The second one has rotted away at the manifold until it broke in less than a year from brand new.

It's a 50, the exhaust is on the right.

They're good for the price but make sure you keep it clean, or it *will* rot away very quickly. Might be an idea to VHT it sooner rather than later, to stop it corroding so much.

Check your plug too, to make sure it's not running rich (the plug will appear whitish). It should be a nice chocolatey colour, if it isn't you'll need to upjet or it'll sieze.

Okay I'm 99 percent sure it will fit, I've seen another tzr wth a kundo aswell, erm, I think you want any rs exhaust from 01 to 06.

not sure about the tzrs but the 2003 and newer rs's have a smaller exhaust port

palmer whats next for the bike i recomend a 13tooth front sprocket

The exhaust comes with 2 connecters, one for the smaller port, one for the old, bigger port. Thumbs Up

I'm going to change the rear sprocket, then get a bore kit hopefully.

Kind of anoying going out on rides, im faster than my mates 50's, and slower than the 125's. So im either trying to ride out of my ability, or just pootling along.

It's nice to go out on my own though, good fun to be had on tight corners Thumbs Up

Might keep the gearing the same, the acceleration is fun, and top speed is in the top 50's, so im happy.

What a shock after hearing about all the other 50 owners who cruise at 75mph and brush off 125s Rolling Eyes

Leave the gearing as standard, if you upgear it the power delivery will be random and hard to use in traffic etc... Accelaration is more fun than topend anyway Razz

But combining sprockets with bore kit will keep the acceleration, and add a little top speed.

OT ... how dodgy does 'acceleration' look Confused

you have 11/47 gearing for a top speed of high 50's youll be reving the nuts off it if you get a 13 tooth front youll have a top speed of high 60's that with a big bore will still pull easily

For 200 quid or so, a 21mm carb and bore kit combined with taller gearing can make all the difference to the fun.

all ive done is has bigger jets in the carb (done by previous owner), de-restricted exhaust and a extra tooth on each sprocket and it does 50 on flat, flat out!

ive had 65mph flat out at 11,000rpm Rolling Eyes

Full revs,12k, (2k into redline) the speedo says 65.

New exhaust doesnt stop revving at redline, which is a bit dodgy when your cruising along, and you look down and see your going right past red line Confused
