Hi,

I need to pick up my car on saturday daytime or tuesday evening.

You will need to meet me at leicester train station and drive the car 150 miles to portsmouth and get the train home. I will cover the car with day insurance so I need someone over 21 and driving a year or more. (unless anyone under this age will add it to their insurance for a day and I will pay for that)

I will pay £150.

Get yourself breakdown recovery and use that to get your new car home. Costs less than £150 and will be lots easier.

For £150 I'm sure someone will be up for it, if I lived in Leicester it'd be a no brainer I'd help in a flash, but sadly I don't.

Assuming there is a good reason why you can't drive it, have you looked at alternate transport options, you do see ad's on Ebay for vehicle transport, might be worth a look if you fail to find someone on here.

I don't have a licence. Test is in 2 weeks but want to practice in my own car aswell.


I considered the breakdown thing but how can I say its broken when it's not.

I'm not worried if you havn't had you license a year. The day insurance only covers people who have been driving over a year.


If you phone you insurance company and ask how much to add a 205 XS for a day and let me know how much it is. If it's under £20~ I will do it.

SOrry i couldnt help out today cheif, if you still dont have it in 2 weeks i can help out, have to drive extra careful on the way back though as i doubt i would get a cover note.

I am going to get the train from here to leicester. Once there it's 150 mile drive home.
