No 'Hints'n'Tips' thread so sticking it in here.

I know a lot of people wonder how to sort out the corroded bolts on their bikes after winter.

One trick we use to clean up old bolts (and they come out like new), is to stick the bolt into an electric drill, wrap a bit of scotchbrite around the bolt, quick spin and a few secs later, one shiney bolt!

Certainly keeps the costs down for the customer, and the makes the bike look fresh again! Thumbs Up

The same trick can be used to polish scuffed bar ends.

find someone who has a bead blaster (Me) and then ask em to give the bolts a good blast
