They're regarded as a very nice sports tourer. The 1100 was the fastest bike in the world 'till the fireblade trounced it, too.

The 600 and 250 bikes are widely regarded as good commuter machines. The 600s can still be found new for under £4k. Well, they could 'till millenium sold theirs last week... Rolling Eyes

I think Mrs Kickstart has the 600, not too sure though.

I think you mean the Blackbird, which was barely quicker.

The 600 is a quick bike. First 600 to break 150mph and a reasonable supersport 600 race career. Also had an alloy frame and 4 pot brakes when the rest of the 600s had cheapo steel frames and 2 pot calipers.

The 250 never was that popular or quick. Suffered because it replaced the GPX250 that was more powerful.

Latest ones have different brake calipers and a few other changes.

All the best

Suspect wobbly front forks and carb balancing are bad points I've heard about. Not too keen on the looks/build quality either.

For a road-sports 600, I'd be more tempted with a CBR-F or maybe a Thundercat.

Millenium have sold theirs?

Gutted! I so nearly bought it, I had to sort out a bit more than I could afford upfront though, so it could not realistically happen any time soon.

It was the black one near the door on the right? Proper cheap aswell. Crying or Very sad

From memory the only real problems they suffer from are clutch grinding at low revs on old high mileage ones and the stock exhausts system rotts away so most have aftermarket stainless onles fitted (which is good).

Stay away from the cheap 1990-1992 "D" models they are complete crap and tacky, look for "E" models which were produced from 1993 onwards.

Great bikes l love the ZZR range (had a 250 and a 600) you can pick a 1993 E1 up for £600-800 these days in good nick.

Yeah, that's the one. Had a big "SOLD" sticker on it on friday.

Hi

Not seen a ZZR for £4k, but that would be a very good buy. That is SV650 money and the ZZR is a far better bike than that (not having a go at the SV).

I know my local dealer has a late ZZR in fairly cheap (think it is around £4500) in silver. Cannot remember if it is preregistered or not but it is unused (they also have a preregistered ZX12R in for £7295).

All the best

Keith

Similar story in millenium, all the kawasakis are going really cheap. Theres £1500 off the rrp on a ninja 600 (might be litre, can't remember) And the zx-12r is on sale for just over £7k. Can't understand why kwaks are going so cheap.
