Depends where you go.

Only takes about 5 minutes.

if not done properly can paralise your tounge or go through the main blood vessel.

You cant eat properly for a few days. It also smashes your teeth up.

I would not bother having mine done again.

It will only be in for about 6 months anyway, as i plan to join the T.A.

Its just something that i want to do. Spoke to my mum about it, who basically told me im not allowed to until im 18 (then i can do whatever i want, yeah right!). As i want to join the RAF, i wouldnt be able to anyway. So now seems to be the right time.

Just need a rough cost to see if i can afford some bike bits (from method) and get the piercing done too.

Then im double ghey .

I got mine done 2 times to be different ,Took one out as it was annoying .

I know of peopel having nothing to numb the pain my girlfriend actualy got it peirced with nothing .I got mine complelty numbed with a spray .The peircing itself takes no longer then 45 seconds its striaght in an thru leaving little bar in your tounge which they then put the tounge bar thru an pull the other bar out then do it up .

I paid £25 gf paid £40 so ide say inbetween 20 an 40 pound .some numb it some dont but im sure if you ask they prob got somthing they can numb it with .

Tounge will sweell up an can be pretty sore for about 4 days if you smoke that hurts .I found when trying to take drag on a cigerette it would make me suck my tounge so it was little uncomfurtable

I had my eyebrow done aswell an ill be hoenst that hurt about 3 4 times more then getting my tounge peirced .
As also mentioned theres a nerve in your tounge an if its hit they you can be para in your tounge .

If you go to a well known piercing clinic tattoe studio they know what there doing an prob done it thousands of times so nothing to worry about .

To round up 20-40 quid it doesnt hurt when being done if numbed an can be a little sore for few days after

Mine cost £20. It took about a month to heal properly.

My teeth have survived 18 months of it, and I constantly mess with it in my mouth and click it on my teeth (bad habit now!)

The occasional crunch down on it when you're eating is horrible and I think I've swallowed two bars so far (but this one is stuck, I can't undo the ball).

Eating for a couple of weeks after is horrible, but you soon adapt to it.

i disagree also with the smashing up the teeth really does depends whats on your bar .You can get rubber plastic or metal balls .

You can also get lil pills smiley faces an good knows wot else to stick on them .Ide agree the titanium balls can be bit hard but in 6 years ive never damaged my teeth with a ball .Crunched down on a few that bloody hurts tho .


Be different get ya ding dong peirced .One the woman would love you liek a god .Two its a bloody good excuse just to whop it out an give few cheeky birds a shock

Had mine done.

Only problem i found, seriously, is as we all know... some girls arent as tasty as others... so to speak. And it can keep the taste longer...

Not pleasant.

But my toungue only hurt when i ate something stupid (like chocolate or yogurt) for the first week. I got some funny looks drinking scrambled eggs with extra milk, or tuna mayo with extra milk.

But if you can cope with eating weird stuff then go for it.

Small point, a lot of places are quite strict with ages, so if you arent 18 it could be an issue...

Id say go for it, if nothing else for the fact ALL women are intrigued.

Off hand i can think of 3 birds ive pulled and one ive fucked JUST because they liked the toungue bar. Get it.

I had mine done about 4 years ago, cost £30 and took 2 weeks to heal. Never had a problem with it bashing my teeth, occasionaly I have caught it while eating but it doesnt hurt. Takes a little while to get used to it and the swelling lasts for a few days but now I cant imagine not having it and when i take it out to clean it, it feels awful not having it in.
It doesnt hurt having it done and only takes a few minutes.
The bar you have in first does get in the way as its much longer to allow for swelling, after you have it changed to a shorter one (after about 2 weeks) it gets easier.

I had mine pierced for about 7 years.

Was always a source of merriment when people found out, as I look like such a nice young lad

It cost about £25 I think and took less than a minute to do.

I had lidocaine sprayed onto the tongue (a local anaesthetic that tastes of banana), then your tongue is clamped and piereced with a fuck off big needle, the pierecing is then pushed the opposite way to push the needle out, screwed tight and yer done.

The hardest thing was washing mouth out after it was all done. With the mouth feeling very very numb, trying to spit is quite hard

My tongue did not swell at all

The girls loved it

My GF's one kinda rocks as well

That vid is sweeeet thanks for adding it .As said the piercing takes what 30 45 seconds .Its just the build up while he gets his stuff ready that becomes worrying .

But adding the vid was class tbh it shows the dude was pretty scared he got shakes in his tongue an did the exact same as me .When it was done thought huh is that it you shitting me .

you can also see the piercing bar i mentioned that goes in 1st basically was excellent vid to show what goes on explains by having it further back can be lil annoying under the tongue an forward will touch the teeth .



One more thing Ive thought of to the people who said they got there done but may have removed it .You do know you can put it back in whenever you like ?.The tongue is a muscle therefor never heels fully the whole will always be there .You get a small lump in the middle like gristle but if you can handle a bit of a sting an you don't mind the thought of pushing it back thru it will go .

i hadn't had mine in for around year then i realised i could just push it thru witch bit of courage. After this topic think ill go do it again .

Well got round to ringing to local place today, Inkslingers, Newbury.

Phoned in to get a price (£25) and then went down to the shop. Friendly guy, filled in a form, then went to have it pierced. It only took a few minutes, until everything was sorted and explained. The pain wasnt too bad, felt as if my eyes were about to water though. It was just marked, clamped then pierced, nothing sprayed on my tongue.

Brought some mouthwash, and have to eating ice cream

It doesnt hurt so theres no need for any spray. Its the most painless piercing i have had done.

Well as saidi wouldn't know cus mine was very very numb to the point i was dribbling for good couple of hours .

Best thing is to try an drink tea or coffee an watch wot a tw@ you look liek when it starts coming out the side of ya mouth .

I had my nose done for chuckle had eyebrow done 2 times tongue .An did allways want thru the grissle of my nose done .Like a ball bar think there cool
