 |
|
HELLO ALL!
I JUST FINISHED MY 2 year restricted license sentance... it seemed forever but it was fun on a Honda VTR250 import 33bhp... much more fun that on that SR125.
Anyhow 3 years on i developed i love for STREETFIGHTERS the rawness and freshness to the boring standard factory colors.
Plus its bring back the oldskool with a touch of today.
NOw this is where i call apon any MECHANICAL minded bikers who know there stuff. I have a good understanding, bUT im more the body work, paintwork and design kinda person... so beter safe than sorry and on to seeking advice.
So, my KAWSAKI GPX600R / ZX600 C1 Ninja is my first patient. I got the wide wheel taking swing arm to beef up that rear from the skinny 130/90 to size 180/190. SO now for the front wheel I want to use ZX6R/ zxr750.... WELL ANY ZXR wheel set, and use KAWASAKI usd forks.
This is where i need help....
WHICH FORKS WILL WORK WITH MY GPX?
How do i know what do i need to check?
What will need changing?
IF anyone knows a site where it explains the step by step or any information which gives me an idea of what forks will work and what measurement i got to take note of then PLEASE POST
ANY help will be much appreciated.
THANKS for reading, REGARDS

Have you tried Googleing with Streetfighter Forums. That should come up with more specialist websites. ____________________ JOIN IN THE BIGGEST RIDE-OUT OF 2007 here |

Hi
With enough effort any forks will fit. However it is probably easiest to use a complete front end from another Kawasaki. If you are really lucky then it will go straight in, more likely you will need to fit the steering head stem from the GPX yokes into the yokes you are fitting.
You will need someone who knows what they are doing to sort out the springs / damping on the new forks for the GPX.
All the best

top STUFF you guys !!!
Thanks for that, quick response, I got a specialist down my road, but im just working this out on theory ... Basically getting all the parts and assemble it all in the one say so to speak.
I was hopping to use the yokes from the donor bike forks, basically you the whole front end off a ZZR600 OR ZX6R ZXR750, preferable the ZXR750 as its do the USDs
THANKS YALL ... for top tips welcome |
