starting problem - NSR

Hey wondered if you could help me out with a starting problem.

NSR125 R1

Key on but no turn over, at first it sounds like it going to turn over but then there is a whirring kind of sound and thats it!?!

I got a new battery about 3 months ago. this is the first problem ive had since owning this bike. its done 24,000 miles. Ive owned it since 3,000 only ever changed the pads and chain a few times:)
bike has been superb but want to get around this weekend without bumping it!

sounds like either a battery or starter motor problem . Check them both out.

Try jumping it off a car battery and see if that will turn it.

If no joy, then you may have a starter clutch prolblem, or your starter solenoid may be shagged.

If it works, you may need to check out your voltage regulator and check the battery is being charged.

i said that several times : if the battery is not in good shape the starter will not engage the flywheel . do what said bish777 , if you win you have the problem . if your battery is quit new , it's a charging problem . download my file and look how to check electrics
