Good grief, what a lot of misguided educational institutions you've all been to, LOL.

As a bike is an object (noun), the descriptive SHOULD BE an adjective, e.g. a rusty bike.

An adverb is something which describes a verb (a "doing word"), i.e., she smiled happily.
