First bike

I looked at a bike on Friday Suzuki RF600R. Its a 1996 model 28,000 miles for £1700. It will be my first bike.
Dont quite know wether its s good buy or not. The dealer said he would thow in a lid and gloves and do a good deal on leathers, also new back tyre and full service. Has anyone got any idea???

I would be interested in hearing about this bike as well. Especially how they handle. I'm considering getting one as well.

How many owners has it had? does it come with mot? does it have service history?
tbh i'm not sure what they go for. Have u had a look on bike trader to see what others go for?

I looked in autotrader one was £1400 the other was £1900. The £1400 was an import with higher mileage. The one I am currently looking at has full service history. Bits of rust in places but then you would expext that from 28,000 miles wouldnt you?
Being a main Suzuki dealer I dont think he would want to sell me anything dodgy would he???

yeah u would expect abit of rust on a 1996 bike but if you get it you can fix it up anyway.
Its good that it has afull service history Thumbs Up

Hopefully you would get 6-12 months warranty due to being a dealer, if so I think its a good deal especially if others in the bike trader are selling for similar prices
