What happens if you pull the handle? Do you win?

Had a few of those but not for a long while You can usually find them in the Add/Remove Programs part in the Control Panel. Go through and remove things you don't recognise, or look like they're a bit dodgy. Gambling plugins and whatnot.

Failing that, use the free online virus scanner from Trend, and maybe try AdAware, or your preferred spyware removal device.

I've been using the freebie version of AVG Antivirus (currently AVG 7.1 for Windows) for about 3 or 4 years with no problems. Only got 2 viruses during all that time, and both were picked up and cleaned from the system immediately (and with no adverse effects to the system).
I also use the pop-up blocker which comes as part of the Google toolbar, again with no problems Wink

Screenshot your running processes. Thumbs Up

Also try a scan in safe mode, will remove the spyware that was in the computers main memory.

Yeah just go back 24 hours and make sure your firewall is on. If it doesn't work, you haven't gone back far enough. Laughing

I suspect you would have been OK to do of done a system restore, rather than a format.

The screenshot provides the full path to the .exe file, why did you not just go and remove it?
