Now I go out every time with an open mind on chav scooter riders. now im not talking about the sensible ones who actually acknowledge the floor hurts and wear proper gear Im talking about track suit wearing scooter boys. I really want one of them to prove my opinions of them wrong but again I was disapointed.

I was sat at a set of trafic lights on a duel caridge way last night waiting my turn, the trafic from the left stopped, fair enough so I get ready to go then to my amazement these three chav scooter boys comming from the left bumpped up on to the pavement rode down the pavement and turned left then came back on the road (bypassing the red light cause waiting would have killed them) and sat in the outside lane ........... so i go up the inside shaking my head at them, so I look in my mirror and he's flipping me the bird, so a wa**er sign later I buggered off. I was sat at the next lights when again in my mirror comes chav boy filtering like a bat out of hell and then screeeeetch comes to a stop behind me. I was waiting for him to hit my back tyre and give me an excuse to smack him one. so we pull away (nice and slowly to let them past to get their plates) and they pull right accross the front of the car on our right and turn right. luckily the bloke in the car stopped otherwise he would have taken all three of them out. anyway rant over

and they wonder why everyone hates them .......... urm let me think Evil or Very Mad

I have the same opionion on them as you, half of them are lethal on the road. They just dont seem to understand how dangerous it can be riding on the road.

Theres lots of them around here, infact last summer i almost got taken down by one who lost control while weaving in and out of the cars. He was maxed out in a 40 limit, but still overtaking and swerving in and out of cars, this was stupid because traffic was free flowing at about 35-40 mph... he was flat out at 40 and still trying to overtake.

Obviously the enivitable happened and he got stuck on the outside of a car, he had flown past me at a staggering 2mph faster... got ahead of the car infront of me and spotted a car coming the otherway. Now if he had been paying attention i had seen this car coming the other way, and actually moved inwards towards the kerb to allow space for this scoot scoot to come in behind this car safely next to me if need be... he hadnt seen any of this and as a result was now going head on with a car - a possible combined 80+mph collision in front of my eyes scared me shitless so i just pulled in towards the kerb anyway.

As this car got closer to the shellsuit clad ped boy, he began to also brown his knickers - result? Locked up the rear brake. The car in front accelerated and got out of the way - leaving a rather large whole and then me, followed closely by the kerb. True to form this ped boy just chucked his ped in this gap, directly infront of my front wheel... causing me to mount the pavement. The car behind had seen all of this and had slowed to let me back down again, gave him a wave and carried on behind this ped. Got to a mini roundabout and the ped boy obviously decided he was too shook up to overtake some more so he sat in traffic waiting for his turn.

With this idiots eratic riding repeating itself through my mind, i pulled up next to him - gave him a quick light slap on the back of his lid, flicked some switch on his left handlebars and rode off - overtaking the traffic safely.

"What a plonker" i thought Laughing

There are chavs like that everywhere - but the hardest thing i find is knowing what to do with 'em... I know its bad to get the red mist and scare them back, but ignore them and they will keep doing it, eventually crashing and possibly injuring someone else.

Yeah, ive ridden like a tit,

But try my hardest not to endanger anyone else around me... when i do i feel extremely bad about it. These types of scoot boys just carry on like "Yeah, its your fault, gtfo my way - i got a Provisional Liscence therefore i have the right to push you around on the road with my elitez0r ped" etc...

Just wanna go up to one of em, say in a cute fashion "awww, bless ya" and pat them on the head. Or tweak their cheeks in the "awww im soo proud of you" kind of way... i duno, maybe i have a warped sense of humour Laughing

I mean obviously excluding the unholy amount of STI's and babies they all carry - some of them actually look like they could be a relatively pretty girl... Rolling Eyes

to be honest ive never had a ped or a 125, but neither have I mounted the pavement (unless parking)

okay a couple of close calls but not deliberatly cutting someone up to take a turning. this was just plain stupid and dangerous.

Just the other day there was a 'ped boi' behind a slow car on the A46 to lincoln. The car infront of him was doing around 40mph and the moped was sat behind the car. I came up behind the both of them around 60, saw they were both moving pretty slow so pulled out to overtake the pair. Just as I get within a few feet of the 'ped boi' without looking in his mirrors or over his shoulder he pulled right out into my path, I swerved to avoid him and just managed to get back onto the road before i ended up in the ditch the other side.
Oblivious to what he'd just done he inched past the car at an extra 3mph and continued on his way. After regaining my cool I decided to chase the little B*****d down so I over took the car again and caught up with him smacked him on the back of the lid and continued to rant and rave at him. It worked as he promptly slowed down to about 30 and the slow car he was originally behind over took him. Laughing

I think it was worth doing as at least he may think to look in his mirror from now on. Very Happy

Dan Thumbs Up

Yea, I hate them as well,

I was shocked when I pulled up at a set of traffic lights to find a ped kid in all his track suit bottoms and hoddie gear there... ok that wasnt the part which shocked me, this part did. He had his hood up and didnt have any crash helmet on...

So anyway I just staired at him, and he gave me a smile... then relized I wasnt impressed so continued to look ahead, I pull away from him and then stayed in my lane, as it was a busy 2 lane road, the traffic was moving at about 30 mph which was fast enough for me. Anyway he comes by me and filters in the most dangerous manner I have ever seen.. and not only that I notice that he was trying to duck down behind his handle bars as lough he actually thought he wouldnt be noticed by any police cars that he wasnt wearing a helmet..

Didnt bother getting his licence plate, didnt have a mobile phone, dont have a good memory of them sort of things and to be honest I was thinking more about his stupidity than the fact that the ped could of been stolen..

Yea I am 16 and yea I have a DNA50 but I wear biking gear etc.

I really hate it when they pull out about 200yards ahead of you and wait for you to catch up and try to race you. Now I have had this on several occasions they don't seem to realise that if I am going 50mph they are going 5 that when i go past them I will be gone as a ped doesn't have enough power to get to 50mph fast.

Best one was in Stapleford, I pulled out and he came off the pavement from chatting to his 'chav mates' and he kept looking at me, I never slowed down just kept going, went past him and realised he was on a 125. By the time I got to the traffic lights I couldn't see him.

Oh how I giggled Laughing

lol, my m8s where always like that, " oh look, theres a kid on a ped, lets race him "

And yea, they where ped chavs.

You sure his bike wasnt a geared 50? still he must of been pretty shit to not beat you with even the aid of gears..

I had a pair on numb twats on scooters (wearing the seemingly obligatory tracksuit and trainers Rolling Eyes ) sat in front of me at a set of traffic lights, hoping to get a head of the cars in the left lane.

They just couldn't keep up with the traffic, but insisted on staying well over to the right, even though they just couldn't get past the car they were trying to overtake. I eventually got past when the other side of the road cleared.

They were both head down, (at 29 mph), and veering over the white line in the pouring rain with about 2 inches from handlebar to the car.

I just wished they had a little off, nothing serious, just enough to really scare them and do some damage to the scooter in the hope that it would teach them something.

A CBT just isn't enough to teach a numb 16 y/o how to be safe on the road. It's a recipe for disaster.

Have to admit I do use the pavement more than I should. Always make sure it's polite and safe to do so though.

I agree, most of my friends didnt even know that the outside lane ( the one on the right ) is meant to be for overtaking and that slow vechiels are surposed to be in the left lane...
