Nice bike but ditch those crash bungs!! they will rip your fairings apart if you fall off... especially if it's at speed... get some proper ones that fit on the engine mounts..

both yours are too clean, you need some cable ties, bit of gaffa tape and a crash cage and you're good to go Wink

Not everyone's a wants to live their life on one wheel Sparks Wink

Cuz that's exactly how i caused 2,000 pounds worth of damage to an RR so i'll cut down on the stunting for a while! I was good at wheelies though Razz

Nice bike froggy, i like the F Sports, the F's are pretty pants Razz

The engine mount is about 6 inches to the right.

That's where the R&Gs go, there's a really sturdy mounting point behind the fairing which rather negates the need to screw them into the engine.

All that's behind there though is a metal tab screwed to the frame for the fairing to bolt to, does the R&G's go through the frame there or something?? I'm not doubting you im just curious as all I can see is a metal tube thingy and I can't see that being strong enough to prevent much crash damage.

Seems to work, when I binned it at Silverstone there was hardly any damage to the bike and the bung came back about half it's normal size.

Tis a pretty hefty mounting point on my bike and from memory, it is part of the frame.

ROFL, thx for the reply peeps! Groove, i'm going to have to be a right chav tw*t and get some rim tape stuck on, it looks mint, thx for the artists impression! Very Happy

As for the Crash Bungs, the previous owner dropped it on some deisel
on a roundabout, 'Bungs' kinda saved the day, BUT he said they're mounted so centrally the bike just spun on them whilst rolling down the road....... she just ended up with lite damage tho. (btw, my insurance also gives me a discount for having them on)

I'm thinking of ditching the footpegs and sticking on a seat cowl on her, the guy I got it off gave me one for free, but he couldn't be arsed to fit it, thoughts anyone?

As for the can, I wasn't too keen on a carbon one but I quite like the one that's on it, shame it a track use only one tho, worried about having void insurance.

Personally I don't like the carbon can - they look to tacky. That bike is just to nice to spoil with add-ons. Get an original or plain aftermarket can and then leave it alone Thumbs Up

All the extra's were on when I bought it not my choice, i'm going to ditch the light covers, bar ends and i'd like to ditch the screen for a clear double bubble and i'd like an Akrapovic can (i'm not a fan of Carbon but the bike does look good in the flesh) but since its already got an A/E can and screen I can't justify the ££ at the mo.

That's nice, I was wanting one like that before I bought my first Gixxer. It was a bit more than I wanted to spend at the time though. Rim tape looks the part too. Thumbs Up Cool
