Earliest is on your 19th birthday if you pass your A2 test on your 17th Birthday.

Your friend is wrong.

You can have access to any motorbike at 17, after passing your full test, it just has to be restricted to 33bhp for 2 years from the date you passed the test.
So your friend was probably right.

no he wernt i knew the 33bhp shizzle, but theres no point restricting to me to be honest, if youve got a bike you want to use it to its full potential surely!!!

If you dont restrict it then and you get found out by the police you will

Arrow not be covered by insurance if you stack it

Arrow receive a hefty fine and at least six points because it takes leaving your bike un-restricted takes into a different license category.

I asked a traffic police officer what the consequences were for not keeping your bike restricted i will try and find his reply.

yeah but how many times have people actually had their bikes tested to see if they are restricted

if they dont know if its restricted or not, how are you gonna have a problem ?

if you have an accident the police dont say, we need to take this bike in for testing

now there are lots of people on this forum, some have been done for speeding, some have lost their licenses but i have never heard of someone being found out as having an unrestricted bike when they are supposed to be restricted

if anyone knows different, pls tell us
