hehe, i cant wait to pick her up on Friday!! P/Xing my 2005 bandit 12 for it, loved the power of my 12 but the ride lacked excitement.

Anyone got a ZX6-R? Anything i need to know? Oh ya, i`ve heard that the 2003 models were hard on the suspension and some tweaking may be needed to make them useable on the road is this true?

Cheers guys!

(im so excited, its in that blue colour as well)

We're now quite a big gang now. You'll be atleast the 4th with a blue one. A few with black and green ones aswell.

They're great bikes for the open road. They are very firm but it doesn't bother me, I've left the suspension as standard.

yeah, gotta say i was blown away on the test ride, the sound from the induction is amazing, cant imagine how cool when its got a race can fitted.

Tried out a new GSXR6 on sat, and a new R6 the sat before, and personally i prefer the feeling of this bike Smile

Oh ya, sorry bout the questions, but i`ve read in mags that with the suspension set as it is they need a steering damper, is this true in your experience?

Personally I don't think that it needs a steering damper, it's pretty stable. And the roads where I live arn't exactly the smoothest around. I suppose only time will tell when you get on the bike for a proper ride, then you will know for yourself.

Are you getting any extras with the bike ? The original screen is very low I felt.

Unfortunately the guy who p/xed the bike at the dealers took with him a double bubble screen and an aftermarket can. It comes with R&G Crash protectors and a cat 1 alarm though but apart from that its as standard. have heard about the screen being low, but after a naked Bandit 1200 i`m sure i`ll cope Smile

I`m paying £4600 for a 2003 B1 with 3700 miles on it, but i`m paying 5.25% over 4 years, how much are you paying if you dont mind me asking?

Thats far too expensive. Especially without any mods.

I paid £4500 for an 04' b2h on an '05 plate with just over 1k miles and was mint. This was January and to be honest that was a little over the odds compared with private sales, but they offered a terrific trade in on my old bike so it was swings and roundabouts really.

You can pick up a brand new B1/2 for £4999 and zero finance, which will work out cheaper than the one you got once you take into account the finance.

Fantastic bike though. I'm well chuffed with mine.

Steering damper not essential but depends on your local routes and riding style. Suspension is a little stiff but I've left mine as standard for fast road/track riding. Riding position I find very comfortable.

Induction roar is glorious, but it gets lost over the sound of a race can Sad

Blue is the colour. [/i]

Oh well, i`ve paid up now so its too late, but to be honest i`m always diving into things without doing my research, i`m ruled by my heart!!

by the way, i`ve got a new tank protector to go on because the one thats there looks to be tatty, how on earth do i take the old one off?!

Well, i`ll try and not think of the money, i may have overspent but i`m not gonna let it sour the experience of picking her up on Friday Smile

At the end of the day i paid slightly too much, but i`m not gonna cry over it, i`m gonna thrape the bollocks of her on the A6 instead whilst listening to an amazingly savage Kawasaki induction roar hehe

Its going to be wierd going from the Bandit 12 to this, i`ll probably miss the Torque of that thing, pinning it in second was an experience i liked but the Kwak is just more exciting.

By the way does the 03 636 come with a Datatool Sytem 3 as standard?

Pinning these in second is an experience aswell don't worry. The 15.5k red line is reached very easily.

Heres another question for you ZXR owners.

I`m gonna be putting some high mileage on this thing, probably around 10k a year and obviously that means at least a couple of rear tyres a year.

Now, i`m not rich so i dont want to buy the stickiest rubber thats only gonna last me 2500 miles, but i dont want to be without grip either. Whats a good compromise, good grip, long life?
