Evening all, My tax has expired. What i'm wondering, as this is the 1st time i'm doing this IS, Is it ok to ride my bike to the post office with no tax. Bearing in mind my sole purpose of the journey IS to tax it. In the stupidly unlikely event of being pulled. What would go down?

If you are carrying all the relevant paperwork on your way to tax it then they are very unlikely to do anything more than check your bike and paperwork before letting you on your way.

A guy I work with received a £60 fine for not paying his tax or registering sorn within one week of his tax running out on his classic car. Is it normal to be allowed two weeks? I'm sure he would be interested if someone has some proof.

If it has no tax, you can't have it on a public highway regardless.
