Hi

I seem to have an intermittant problem with my indicators, push the indicator switch on the left grip to the right , the bike signals right perfectly normally.

Push the indicator switch to the left however and one of four things happens:

#1 A rapid clicking sound as if the indicators were on occurs but no lights.

#2 Works normally

#3 Indy clicks on but you have to hold the switch to the left for it to stay on.

#4 event #1 but after a few goes it works normally but when left over night or for a couple hours it goes all iffy again.

Any ideas on what could be wrong? , bike has not been knocked over , however it DID have to be leant onto the left bar end to prevent sinkage in a crap car park while the bike was seriously laden with luggage (panniers , tail pack , tank bag , top box , rucksack , my lardy body and two bum bag thingies strapped to my side).

Any suggestions on whats up (Bike is an NTV650 btw) , and how much it'll cost to fix this problem?

Thanks

It sounds to me almost like a sticky flasher relay. I had a similar thing in my first car, where to change the indicators (going from left to right or right to left) I would sometimes need to tap the relay to make it actually change.

So a change of relay ought to fix it right , simple £15 jobbie then?
