i crashed last week, well my back wheel locked as i was changing gear and the wet didnt help, so off i came and a visit to the hospital and two weeks off work with a very bad knee (and breath)

anyway i cam off few year ago in wet oily ground and was a little afrid to get on the bike again (dif bike at the time) but i regained my confidence.

now this happens again and i dont want to be a tota llooser driving about always worring about the back wheel locking again.

its just a bit daunting thought of it happening again.

i am still a learner and am doing full hopefully very soon, just gathering up the money to do so.

also no one wants me to drive my bike cause they dont like it. i like driving it and i am used to it. its prejudice cause its a two stroke and old.

Were you changing down a gear?

If so, your engine revs were probably too low, and you let the clutch out too fast...

Try blipping on downchanges next time, where you snap the throttle open for a small time with the throttle open before knocking the gear down.

if you are feeling daunted, have a bit of quiet practise where you dont have to be anywhere in a hurry

practise on a quiet road or car park until you feel confident again

i have to brake slightly as my bike revs up into the powerband when i change gear but i didnt brake that hard. the bike just floated away from me really. i wouldn like it to happen again thats for sure. it was lashing rain alos and i was slowing down. i will have wee practice runs to get the confidence back. evertwhere you go round here has massive round abouts covered in oil Rolling Eyes terrible for biking
