While adjusting, loobing, cleaning and general maintaince on my girlfriends chain I noticed theres a few tight spots, the chain is visually pretty clean (and rust free) and it's kept oiled by a oiling system.

Is this the end? or can I get away with just adjusting the slack correctly to the tightest part?

You're girlfriend has a chain Shocked

I think you should be ok so long as you adjust the chain at it's tightest point. If you don't do it there, when the slack gets taken up it will over-stress the chain when it's at it's tightest.

This will knacker your chain pretty quickly. I've been adjusting mine (tighter) almost weekly for the last month and a bit. Got to the end of the adjustment, bit the bullet, and bought a new chain & sprocket on Tuesday. Banditshigh was also kind enough to show me how to fit it Thumbs Up

If its got tight spots its not getting lubed properly, you could take it off the sprockets and soak it in engine oil and see if that cures the problem.
