Why is there so much fucking paper pushing involved with bikes.
Right my tax expired a month or so ago, as did MOT. I was at uni so not a great deal i could do about it.
Get home.
Ive worked out i have to insure my bike, stick on standard can, toddle to mot station, pass (fingers crossed, if not fix long, timeconsuming and expensive list of fictitious faults, get nicked for biting mechanics nose off) test, go to post office with mot and insurance to get tax (just in time to get fined 80 quid for not sorning it instantly).
Thats it on the road. Now heres the fun bit, then i have to take the bike to pieces, take off headers, swap for pretty shiny new headers, swap filter, change oil, put back together all the radiator, refill and bleed coolant and THEN i can take it to get dynoed.
So i cant really ride it that much before dynoing, so by the time i get that all booked in and sorted no doubt it will be pissing it down.
Now the annoying thing is, i could get all the pipes swapped tomoro, and taxed, get it booked in for an mot and dynoed at the same time and on the road within a few days.
But obviously that would be too easy. Noise limits on pipes, and the standard can wont fit the new pipes (knowing my luck) so id have taken everything off and swapped pipes, only to find i have to swap it back so it can pass the bollocks mot regulations.
And you cant get tax without an mot. You cant get an mot without insurance. So to do everything legally is going to cost me some serious time and wedge.
You may or may not know, im only back from uni for 3 weeks. This is driving me nuts that i have ALL the stuff i need to get it ready to be dynoed, sitting in my garage, and i cant start it until i get moted. And what with every bored accountant in england brushing off his 05 blade and sending it down there for an oil change im pretty fucked for an appointment soon.
Fuckers.
Thats my rant. I had to rant at someone who might empathise, being as my dad has a licence to ride but really doesnt get it. ____________________ China traffic/travel bike vid - When I make a sweeping statement, please add the word 'statistically' in to the sentence before you bitch...

In relation to your problem about having to get tax/MOT/insurance all in one go, I tend to spread them around the year.
Its a bit of a bugger to remember when each one is due to expire (but then, thats what schedulers are for) - and it does at least mean that when one runs out, the paperwork for the other two are still valid, and its not costing you a fortune all at the same time.
Just all year round

True. Where it falls down though is when you buy a bike from a dealer, you tend to wrangle in a years tax a test (as i did), and then you get the bike insured pronto.
Thus meaning they all fall around the same time. ____________________ China traffic/travel bike vid - When I make a sweeping statement, please add the word 'statistically' in to the sentence before you bitch...

Its a little hard to broach the subject though.
'Scuse me mate, mind if i have a race can on my bike or not?'
As usually they go, well you'll find out afterwards mate.
And tomo, man u supporters have and always will be the biggest joke on earth. Live with it.
Ive more then got a pair, i support arsenal, to an extent, being as my family are from that area and i live pretty near, and ive been to see alot of their games.
However i am a very casual supporter, and take a very mild interest.
Now compare that to someone from cornwall, with a FC insignia as their avatar. Thus implying you consider yourself a big fan, and no doubt can rattle off their entire lineup.
However, how many games have you been to see, and do you actually have any personal ties?
I doubt it highly. More likely is you, like every other man u supporter jumped on the band wagon when they were good, and now you're saving face sticking with them while they are crap.
Bare in mind everyone from manchester supports City. ____________________ China traffic/travel bike vid - When I make a sweeping statement, please add the word 'statistically' in to the sentence before you bitch...
