Go and ask the test centre to do you a copy. They keep one for themselves too. You will probably have to pay for this.

As far as i'm aware if you haven't upgraded it then you will have to retake the test as they cant reprovide the certificate.

Hope you find it

I think your test centre and the DVLA should have one.

Test centre will not reproduce a certificate for any reason as they do not take a copy for themselves.

DVLA is an idea but they could just accuse you of trying to get a test pass certificate without doing a test even though you have done it. And the only certificate they get is the one you send off to get your full license.

The test certificate is made out on a quadruplicate pad. The other copies must go somewhere. I would have assumed one for the test centre, one for the DSA central records and one for the DVLA.

They are required to keep records of this kind of stuff, I very much doubt you would be required to do your test again just because you lost a bit of paper.

My first port of call would be the test centre you did your test at (who are most likely to be clued up on the matter) followed by the DSA helpline then the DVLA. At least one of the three should be able to tell you what to do.

Find it. If you can't find it, ring the DVLA and tell them that it's bloody ages since you sent off your pass certificate, when is your licence going to arrive?

There is a procedure for these things, they do occasionally get lost in the post.

Quote:
It usually takes three calendar weeks or 15 working days from the date of receipt of your form at DVLA until your licence arrives. It might take longer if we have to check on your health or personal details. Please allow at least 3 weeks for your licence to arrive and then if your licence has not arrived in this time, please write to:

Customer Enquiries Group (Drivers), DVLA, Swansea, SA7 0EE
(please do not send your application to this address)

or phone: 0870 - 240 - 0009

If you have impaired hearing and have access to a minicom facility
please ring 01792 766366 for driving licence enquiries.

Ring between: 08.00 - 20.30 Monday to Friday and 08.00 - 17.30 Saturday.

or fax: 0870 850 1285

or e-mail: drivers.dvla@gtnet.gov.uk

When contacting the Customer Enquiry Unit, you will need to provide your driver number or your full name, address and date of birth.

Phone DVLA and say you've sent it off a while ago, and you need your license quickly.

You don't need it.

Fill out form D1 - add a covering note stating when you passed your test (they already have the details but you need to tell them anyway) and that you lost your test pass certificate.

Et voila - done the same myself bud.
