So it's my retest tomorrow.

I actually did a week long DAS course a coupla weeks ago but my bike broke down leaving the test centre and my crap training company didn't have a back-up bike (becuase its chain snapped on me a coupla days earlier), Confused so examiner cancelled the test. He didn't fail me so i'm doing it tomorrow in an area I haven't ridden around and to top it off i'm rusty as hell on the bike. Had a quick lesson on Friday and I was a bit wobbly, and had suddenly forgotten how to do U-Turns Sad

So basically i'm shitting bricks, just to rub it in if it all goes tits up tomoz got a bike waiting for me in the garage but I can't ride her Evil or Very Mad

Quick moral to the story, any Yorkshire peeps who are considering doing their DAS don't go with Road Runner.

Good luck Thumbs Up

Take your time, listen to what the examiner is asking you to do and enjoy yourself.

Be positive!!!

If you are negative then you arent going to be able to relax and show your best riding ability to the examiner. Yes its unfortunate that your training got disrupted and your test delayed, same happened to me, although it was due to the examiner being ill and cancelling all his tests that day. I had to wait four weeks for another slot to be available. I agree it doesnt help your cause, but just try to go out and enjoy it. By doing this you are more likely to produce your best riding than if you have already convinced yourself your going to fail before you even get out the test centre!

Go for it! Thumbs Up

I second this! I failed my second test on Friday. I hadn't ridden for two weeks since I failed the first time, and was still mentally scarred (!) from failing when I felt I had ridden well. I had two hours practice before the test. But I just couldn't relax and couldn't get into my stride so made a stupid mistake (missed a lifesaver on a roundabout).

So I know it is easier said than done but just try to relax so you can give it your best.

I also have a bike in the garage waiting for me to get my licence, looks like it's gonna be in there another two weeks now Crying or Very sad

Good luck !

Just relax and give the emaminer what he's looking for (a safe ride) and you'll be tearing them 'L' plates up before you know it!

It's just a walk in the park, good luck! Thumbs Up

Just remember if you make a mistake dont panic! Keep going
I almost crashed into the side of a granny during my test on the last streatch of road back to the test centre, He didnt fail me because it wasnt my fault and i reacted quickly Very Happy

After the first 10 mins of my test I couldnt believe how relaxed i felt, And try to forget about the instructor behind you

I feel a lot calmer than before me last test, but worried about lack of practise and the fact i've never ridden in the test area i'm at tomoz.

Anyway, i'll tell ya the outcome by about 1pm tomorrow.

Retest is on the 18th, and it's 75 for the test alone, then bike hire for the test and prolly an hour or two's hire prior, so that'll be about 120 quid, so dunno. Might go out for a coupla hours next week to tide me over. Sad

no excuses for u speeding tho really

im not sure if u have had a 125 b4, but if not, it might be worth getting one to practise on when not doing lessons

You should pass no problem, the speeding was just naughty and you'll know not to do that again. The foot down on the u-turn, that's a pain, you know you can do them and the one time you mess it up is on your test.

I think you should get second attempts for that, or you instructor could say they have seen you do it 15 times and that it was just nerves. (though instructors could lie Confused )

I failed my first test cause I fell over, stupid mistake not putting the stand down. I won't do that again, just picked the worst time to learn the lesson Sad

Good luck on your re-sit Laughing Thumbs Up
