Just though you might want a look at the Police Ped prowling the streets of my area.

100% standard and restricted with sirens and lights!!

Actually, for cutting across town traffic and for following chav scum on pushbikes or on foot, they're probably the most ideal tool. Chav isn't going to be able to ride above 30-35mph and if they decide to cut down footpaths and into housing estates, they can go where cars and bigger bikes can't.

I can see the appeal for town centre use.

Now, if they started to hand them out to provincial coppers... Laughing

theyve got a police xr650 on the isle of wight, there was a gang of bike thieves who were taking off cross country side whenever ford fiesta equipped plod showed up so they got that to chase em Very Happy

genius! as for the police ped, i think its great, clearly not intended for traffic policing which is relativly unimportant as far as im concerned anyway and is a cheap quick method of getting from a-b in a busy spot mucho respecto Thumbs Up

It is probably one of the most efficient vehicles the police are ever going to use in the city, the petrol lasts forever and it can get through anything.

It is also unlikely they are restricted as the police officers probably have full licences anyway. Smile
