I go to:

C:\Documents and Settings\Stuart

And the attached box pops up. I'm not silly enough to enter details, but i'm pissed off that i've got this. It also shows how people get their accounts hacked. Think it's time for a full re instal. Too much cack on here.

Bye bye norton, hello AVG.

www.safer-networking.org (download spybot s&d)
www.ccleaner.com/ (download crap cleaner)

then obviously install an antivirus

i'd pick from avg or antivir

with a mixture of those your system should be pretty well protected from spyware , aslong as you update every few days and scan your pc often.

maybe try using a different web browswer

like firefox or opera

It must do. I did a little test before I installed it, ran the check on the standard version and it found nothing (I did one last night before I shut the PC down) then I installed and ran it and it found 12 critical items.

if it's finding Adware then your either installing crappy apps with them attached or your using Internet Explorer.

I use Opera and i haven't had any adware for years now Very Happy

I've been using AVG, Spybot S&D (and more recently Google popup blocker) for some time now, and not had any problems recently.
I had a trojan/virus last summer, detected and quarantined by AVG, sorted Thumbs Up
