That did look quite dangerous at times, but I think that in Tokyo people are used to that kind of stuff. Still, I wouldn't take the risk of driving like that.

But still the he was quite impressive.

The clocks look like those from a CB1, which'll make the speedo kph, not mph (the sound isn't right though, possibly the quality of the footage). Doesn't look overly dangerous, he mostly sticks to around 50mph - not sure if I'd ride like that though, there's a couple of near truck-crushing moments.

Yea, swap a couple of flatbed trucks for fiestas and and civics, change the number plates and that was pretty close to central london (Marlebone road/ A40) at rush hour... I dident think he was too bad, couple of close scraps with trucks. Most dispatch riders are as fast if not faster.

thanks for moving the thread G , moments after posting I noticed the general bike videos forum , my apologies for posting in the wrong forum.

Hmm I sometimes ride like that when I'm in a REAL hurry, and many of the riding clans I've been with call me an absolute nutter and ask me if I am a courier , maybe I should give Sickpup a call...

Hi, I found same video in japanese site too.
The rider in the movie is likely to be pro bike courier. I found many of them when I was in Tokyo. And the elevated highway is the WORST highway in japan "Shuto-ko". Narrow road, no escaping zone, steel joints at corners, many confusing divergences to/from left and right, terrible traffic jams and high speed filtering bike couriers, no distance between cars, and many huge trucks full cargo.(Some may know as stage of Game"Shutoko-battle")
There are many bike courier companies, and courier fee is dropping and dropping through competitions and payment to rider per one lugage is also dropping, so they run at crazy speed to earn. I saw many courier rider caused accidents. Once rider slip on that road, it results terrible.

Hi I meant this game soft.(sorry. availability was japan and U.S. only) This soft is car game(not bikes).
https://www.genki.co.jp/en/games/sb01.html
It was fun to compare the courses(real and game).

And apart from game, long straight called "wangan(bayshore)"is famous for top speed battles around 170 mph.

Christ that is like me filttering through the M8 back from Cardonald to Glasgow, once you filter often you get used to idiot cagers. Don't get me wrong it is dangerous but danger comes hand in hand with motorcycling to an extent.

Pretty dodgy, but as said I guess thats pretty routine courier stuff. I personally wouldnt ride quite that quickly through gridlock traffic, one car changes lanes and you're off, no time to react going that quickly between stationary traffic.

sorry to bump, I searched this thread out using the facilites, as part of a discussion on a forum elsewhere, I wanted to post this, but at the moment You Tube is offline.

Well, I've got the hang of searching forums that I belong to, where I know the content is, but still end up with more porn and spam when using a search engine.

So, if anyone can link me up with this vid again elsehwere from YouTube, i'd be most grateful
