mileage on r6

Is 33,000 miles high for a T reg R6?..seen one i like but the mileage is a tad worrying....ta peeps lv Caz xxxxxxx

If it's cheap enough it should be fine. We're far to anal about mileages, when was the last time you heard of a bike being worn out? With modern oils etc there's virtually no sign of wear at all on bikes that have covered well over 100K.
The suspension may be getting tired, but a few hundred quid should sort that out!
The other thing to consider is resale value, if you plan to sell it on soon it'll be more difficult to sell with a high mileage, but then if it's priced right, it'll go!

33,000 miles is what, 6,600 miles a year? Not a lot really.

As long as it's been serviced and the gearbox is okay (early ones had problems shown by 2nd gear mishaps, apparently), plus the valves clearences were checked (around 22-24,000 miles I think), it should be okay.

I'll not write it off my list yet then....its between the R6 and a VTR 1000 firestorm at the mo..juist scared of the firestorm lunching its cam chain

How old is thr TRX and how many miles has it done?

The TRX is an M reg and its done about 35,000 miles..possibly less..its an import so i can't tell...it says 42,000 on the odo.
Its White with a Red frame..just had new rear tyre. chain and sprocket kit and 12 months MOT on it.
