Riding up a road late one night. Out of nowhere a kerb appeared which I hit square on which launched the bike 2 ft into the air. Landed on the grass with both wheels bike weaving like a drunk animal underneath me. (BT-014s dont work well off road). Went down after 15 metres and the bike slid along the top of a low wall before coming to a stop 10 metres away. I get up and ride home. Less then 1/4 of a mile with the air hissing out my front tyre.

Total damage a buckled front wheel, the left hand fairing scraped and scratched and the rear left indicator completely removed. The worst bit. I did this in full view of my 16 year old brother and my 17 year old cuz who has himself just started riding thanks to me.

Feel free to take the piss.

Wasn't there the tiniest element of fun when you were flying through the air? Laughing

I am evel kneivel reborn. I enjoyed the adreneline rush but I would rather not be having to fork out cash I dont have for a new front wheel . Perhaps I should sell my old 125 to cover the cost. Anyone want a 2001 NSR125 in the east anglia area

Not usually. However it was an unlit street and I had my dip beam on. Road bends to the right sharply and I dont.

A mate of mine did it on a ride out not long ago on his brand new VN800. Went up a bit of road that had recently changed and he headed in the direction of the old road. Unfortunately they'd put a big high fuck off gutter there. He stopped like cm's away from hitting it head on.
I think I shit myself more than he did.

To me though ?? no not yet ut I'll be doing these ones Shocked from now on just in case. [/quote]
