You can buy multi region players for less than £50, no point messing about with copying etc.

Because I'd rather buy the right player in the 1st place that means I can buy any DVD's and play them, without decoding, ripping or recoding just to watch Ghost Busters 2.

You can get firmware to make your drive RPC1 here. Almost certainly the reason DVD shrink doesn't work. For a temporary fix, can you not alter the region of your drive? You should have 5 changes allowed. If you've only set it once, you could change it to the new region, rip the DVD with DVDShrink, then put the drive back to normal.

Just found a rare jem - RPC1 f/w for Pioneer 109. Flashed it, Infotool reports RPC1 successful Very Happy

Nero has to be installed for DVD Shrink to work.

Install Nero - then it'll work fine.

I assume f:\ is your DVD drive?

That means that the DVD is screwed, too scratched or whatever, it can't read from it. You'll get the same problem with any program.

I have had a cyclic redundancy error with a dvd whilst trying to copy it using DVDShrink.

What i done is just rip it using DVD Decrypter (didn't say anything about an error here!) then burn the resulting files. Or if it needs to be shrunk then mount the ripped file as an iso image with Daemon tools then use DVD Shrink on it (shouldn't be a cyclic redundancy error this time))

Worked for me when i had that prob! Can't guarantee it will work for you but it is worth a try...if it works horray, if not then feck it.

dvd decrypter should pull the files onto your pc, dvd shrink should work afterwards
