I was given this afternoon off and as such, I decided to sort out the bike and go out for a quick spin. I ended up doing 50 miles and loved every part of it!

I went from mine down to shoreham via henfield, then came back via washington. I'm so in love with this weather, and its great to be able to really enjoy the bike again!

Sorry the post may seem pointless!

Have any of you had that feeling recently, just loving that you ride a bike?

Nah its alright when you get rolling, just traffic lights can really piss you off with all your leathers on, back protector, helmet, boots, ect

But by fuck is it nice to ride on warm roads, I got off work and rode around a little and just loved it, and these where just on urban roads, im gona get suited up and rag it on some twisties now.

I did stupid stuff
I use my back brake far too much

Am thoroughly fed up at the moment with biking.

Just rode from Warrington to Leeds on the M62, it pissed down all the way, and the traffic was doing about 30 - 40.

I was almost blind with the rain and spray, soaked through and my boots were full of ice cold water. Apart from that, quite a cool ride! Thumbs Up

Get a bigger bike, and ideally one with a bit of weather protection, invest in some comfy, warm, waterproof kit and you'll properly start to enjoy it again.

Riding in the shite is a bit of a fucker, but it's challenging, and teaches you loads about the bike and road surface etc, etc.

Your starting to soud like a bit if a tart Toby! Laughing Wink

I don't mean riding sorry, i meant my riding.

I have really good kit, but I've ridden all day along horrible bumpy roads (Anyone who's ever ridden to crosby from liverpool city centre will agree) and got off of the bike about 6 times, unstrapped tankbag, removed chain and lock, locked bike, carried helmet, gloves and bag around shops, reverse process.

Grrr!

The impracticalities of biking can wind me up, but I have a HUGE top box that all my kit fits in, so it is easier for me.

With regards to your riding, just try to get your DAS done as soon as you can, I firmly believe that a CBT is never enough to be safe on the roads, it just doesn't give enough supervised time to learn all you need to know. It wasn't enough for me anyway.

My DAS transformed my riding, and a track school helped aswell! Wink
