'Doing a few jobs at thee mo so the swingarm, caliper, chain, are off...and the wheels look like they could do with a little lovin' Wink
At present the wheels are a scratchy, brake fluid splatterted, satin black. I want to powdercoat/paint respray them...Black.
I can get them powdercoated for £35 each which seems alright. Don't know how much a paint respray would cost.
What is the difference? Is it just cost or is one better than the other?

Tell me all I need to know Mr. Green

Painting may be a little cheaper, but will show signs of chipping MuCH quicker. Personally I would go for powdercoating, and for that price, you can't lose. Wink

my oldman used to own Southern Metal Finishers ((you'll spot the small ads in old 80's bike mags)) I'd recommend powder coating nearly everytime

Del boy!

I'd go for powdercoating mate, i've just resprayed my wheels and it looks the dogs BUT getting the wheels popped back on the ba*tards chipped some paint off, so i'd go for powdercoating.

Thanks for that fellas. But Mr. Green If you say put a powder coated wheel and a painted wheel side by side, what is the difference, appearance wise?

Powder coating is a lot tougher. They seem easier to clean as well - can only comment on previously painted wheels for the same bike though.
