im just changing the throttle tube on my nc29 but can't enough slack in the cable to unhook it, so i'm going to take the carbs off to get to the other end. now ive never taken carbs off before but is there anything i should look out for? and will i need to rebalance them after?

also ive bought some teflon bar ends and ive been told to nock the inner weight in, now does anybody know whats the best way to do this?
cheers

I wouldn't think you need to take the entire carb assemberly off - the throttle cables usually just operate a pully system above them. As you normally need to take the throttle cables off to remove the carbs in the first place, I'm guessing the most you need to disassemble is the tank/airbox.

the throttle pully is sat under the carbs bang in the middle and is hard to get to because of the carbs, if i could just take them off and put them straight back on without messing anything up i'll do that, make it much easier. otherwise it trying to get my fingers in awkward places and looks a very fiddly job doing it that way.

so will i mess anything up just taking them off and putting straight back on?

No you won't, make sure you loosen the clips on the inlet rubbers completely though. And tighten them up well after you put the carbs back on too.

Although I'm sure you don't have to take the carbs off to take the throttle cable off.

Can you effectively 'open' the throttle, by pushing a part of the carbs, that will push the cable through and give you loads of slack at the grip.
