Fitted a smoked airblade screen with black rubber screen trim, new indys, new reg plate, undertray and real CF hugger/chain guard.

I used to have a J2 model in that colour, great all round bike.

I also had a smoked Airblade screen on it and was surprised how dark it was when it arrived. I was hoping it would be a bit lighter so I could see through it, especially as they also sell a stealth one which is pure black.

thats preety damm nice mate lovin the tidy rear end on it and the colour scheme, shame it doesnt look like its on straight though could be the wheel not straight in the swing arm as the rear looks to line up with the center of your screen? worth checkin out though

well from the angle of that picture, the rear subframe and seat assembly looks to be central on the screen, so id say that his wheel isnt straight in the frame for whatever reason, be that a twisted swing arm, or poor adjustment when tensioning the chain. More likely and worse for the bike than a bent subby as it means fecked wheel alignment but poor adjustment is easily corrected unlike a twisted swing arm . it's now the first thing i look for after buying a bike with a bent rear subby that i only noticed after id parted with the ££££££££ a replacement wasnt that much, but it was a pain none the less! other than that, a tasty lookin machine, get it sorted or checked and shel be blinding mate

The bike is HPI as I did a check before buying it.

I have recently tightend the chain and it was my first time of trying so maybe I aint got it spot on.

Also maybe I didnt put the rear seat fairing on correctly?

Subframe aint bent!

I bought it from a guy who had it brand new and he posted frequently on the ninja forum so even people on there know what life the bikes had, the all assure me its fine.

@instigator you would say something like that, the reason I got it cheap-ish is because colby (the guy I bought it off) was getting married the week after and he had X ammount of money to pay off, so to cover the ammount he owed he sold the bike for that ammount.

I know what it will be, like I said in that post^^ the rear seat fairing isnt on correctly.

I remember when putting the grab rails back on that they wasnt going into the holes easily and I had to force them in so thats why it looks alittle bit off.

Will sort it out on sunday

i wasnt having a go mate, just trying to be helpfull like i said before from the pic it looks like the tail fairing is central on the bike and its the wheel that isnt straight especially as you say its the first time youve done the chain. there should be a series of lines on the swing arm on either side and a single line on the block that slides in it to aid in aligning the wheel correctly. obviously if its uneven this will effect the handling and the rear tyre life amongst other things and is somewhat more vital than if you havnt got the fairing on straight!
