I dont know why, but recently when ive been playing games on the laptop ive been getting a realy low FPS after about 5 mins of playing.

Its never done this before, but not for some reason its started.

It does it on any game i play:

Global Operations
MOH:AA
Rainbow Six...

THey all do it, run fine as hell for the first 5 mins, then suddenly start framing and going crap, to the point where you cant realy play it any more.

Ive turned the graphics down etc and done the little console tricks, that dont change it, and my laptops never done this before, would run all the games fine before now...

any ideas?

Makes your most used data accessable quicker by shuffling it about on the disk.

Yeah it would do if it's a disk access problem that's causing slowdown.

Doh,

And that as well.

Nip out and buy some compressed air and give everything a blast.

Cheers guys Thumbs Up

Ive done both, but i think the vents has made the most difference. I dont know if its totaly cured yet, but i spose ill find out soon enough.

atm i have my laptop wedged on a slope to give the vents the most room underneath them to stop them all overheating Thumbs Up

Another thing to check is how many & what kind of programs are running in the back ground.

Some laptops can operate at 2 speeds, quiet and not so quiet.

It might be worth checking to make sure your fans are not operating on silent mode as this is slower and leads to overheating.
