I've swapped the indicators and added a carbon fibre tax disc but I wanna play some more with the GS.

I'm not likely to sell it for any massive ammount as it is so I don't mind any depreciation on value - I just want a trick bike. I know I can add a GSXR front end and rear shock but without any welding or major hassle - what else can anyone think of for me to do?

screen trim Razz Razz Cool

Other stuff which you can do... nearly every bolt on the bike can be replaced with one from ww.tastynuts.com probably. Single seat unit I guess could be easily done.

I'll think some more later Smile

I'm not rich but I do want to spend a bit of money on the bike. I can't have screen trim on a bike with no screen though!!!! Smile

Never mind!!

The tastynuts and bar ends/pegs are good ideas.

Race Can Very Happy

Take that headlight off and replace it with a streetfighter one? Shouldn't cost much!

I'm thinking of buying a cheap GS and streetfightering it Smile

My plans are GSX600F rear shock to jack the back up a bit (and add more adjustment), early-ish GSXR750 front-end (USD forks and twin discs Smile ) Orange powder-coated frame swingarm and forks, and a blue paintjob based around a lightning theme Smile

I'd need a twin-spot setup for the front or a streetfighter fairing, not sure yet though

Someone's slowly been customising a GS500 at college, they've fitted twin lights, what looks like an SRAD rear seat unit and seat hump (doesn't quite cover the subframe), a twin port Remus can and various other tarty accessories like bolts and footpegs. I'll take the camera in tomorrow see if I can get a picture for you.

And is adding a Turbo really gonna give you 110bhp from a GS500? sounds a bit optimistic to me Confused

From the website I got the pic from:

"GS500E Turbobike. 30 psi boost = 110+hp. custom intake, intercooler, plenum, pressurized oil and fuels systems. carbureted"

Its cumulative per minute. That is really 55hp produced solidly for 2 minutes, after which the engine went bang Twisted Evil

You might get that much, but not for long. The GS engine certainly isnt designed to take it, and the air cooling would be a tad dodgy. Yes you can get a Skyline to around 1000hp (if you chuck most of the engine in the bin first), getting 220bhp/L is really pushing things even on an engine designed for performance

Mind you, there is a turbo conversion around for the Fiat Seicento giving it around 110hp

All the best

Keith

Hmm, trick bits...do you want to go the "custom" way? i.e. lots of shiny/chromey bits? You can polish the wheels/rims, frame etc...although I personally reckon that a polished frame is worth much less.

Braided hoses? Anodised levers? Fake NOS can (yes! The Rude BoY Demon Tweeks catalogue sells them!...for...£90! Shocked)

I don't want to streetfighter it as such as I'm not keen on the streetfighter look at the front. I justy want to make is unique!!

I'm going to see if I can get a different back end on it and maybe a underseat pipe? Or a twin pipe- i've seen that somewhere else.

Maybe twin headlights but probably just the same light on an early gixer 740 front end.
