there's one on my test route tomorrow near heathrow airport..

thing is - if you are taking, lets say, the 2nd exit and there is road markings that lead you through the middle od the roundabout and straight to it - do you need to indicate as you leave?

surely this would imply that you want to change into the left hand lane, when all you are doing is leaving the roundabout in your own marked lane???

...and yes, this is night before jeebees!

cheers

I was taught that you always indicate once you have passed the junction before the one you want to leave at, no matter what the road markings say.

Was taught that during both car and bike lessons actually so I hope it's right.

The examiner will say:

Arrow take the 1st exit LEFT TURN
Arrow take the 2nd exit STRAIGHT ON
Arrow take the 3rd / 4th / 5th exit RIGHT TURN

If its left then left hand lane, right hand turn then right, straight in left or middle (left probably safer on test).

Just listen to what the examiner is telling you to do, and check the round about layout sign in good time.

You want to keep the 'danger' to one side, so left or right handed lane Thumbs Up
